Credit where it's due

Sources & Credits

CriticStorm brings together what professional reviewers say. The reviews, scores, quotes and most of the product photos you see here belong to the outlets that published them.

Where the reviews come from

Every review on CriticStorm was published by a professional outlet. Each one names the outlet and, when we know it, the critic who wrote it, and links to the original article so you can read the whole thing where it was published. The full list is on the Critics page.

What we show from a review

  • The outlet's score as they published it (4.5/5, say), next to the same score on our 0 to 100 scale. When an outlet didn't publish a score, the number is ours and is labelled "AI estimate". How we estimate
  • A short quote in the critic's own words, credited to them.
  • When there's no quote, a short summary of the review, written by AI and labelled "AI summary".
  • A link to the full review.

Product photos

Most product photos come from the reviews themselves. Others come from manufacturers, retailers and Wikimedia Commons. Each product page credits its photo in the corner of the image.

What's ours

The Storm Score is our calculation from the critics' scores. The Critics' Consensus is a summary our AI writes from all of a product's reviews, labelled as one and followed by the outlets it draws on.

For publishers and photographers
